Opposition to Valley Link North Transmission Project

Jefferson County residents are under threat from the Valley Link North proposal to build high voltage electricity transmission lines through the county. Jenny Thacker, our candidate for state Delegate in District 100, lays out reality of the environmental and property damage the project will cause for what will be essentially no lasting benefit. We need to oppose it.

Door Knocking For Democracy In The Eastern Panhandle

Serious door knocking for candidates begins in September. Stewart Acuff is already on the stump communicating with residents about the wrong-headedness of our governor who's trying to force data centers on us. Delegate Bill Ridenour is Untethered to Reality

Jenny Thacker (D) and William Ridenour (R), opponents for the WV Delegate seat for District 100, held a debate on August 10. Each candidate stated their opinions on issues critical to Jefferson County. Ridenour, as the incumbent, had to defend many of his bad legislative decisions from reasonable questions directed at him by the audience and by Jenny. Neal Barkus in reporting the facts of the debate points out Ridenour's ignorance of facts as well as his slurs on our neighboring states.
