In Their Own Words

Articles and Position Statements Directly from the Candidates

Each campaign has its own website and social media, but it can’t hurt for the candidates to get their messages out in other platforms, including, of course,  BlueJefferson.org. Candidates who do want to extend their coverage are welcome to submit articles and position statements to us and we will post them in this section. We will be pleased to also reprint articles that have been published elsewhere. Just email us at [email protected] and embed the text in your email. Include in the email message any original location of the article with its publication date.

Jenny laid out her reasons for why debates would be essential for voters to understand their respective positions on issues. Ridenour did not respond, but Jenny independently agreed to appear at a town hall scheduled by We The People on August 10.

The Case for Common Ground

Recently Ace Parsi, our Democratic candidate for U.S. Representative, visited Harpers Ferry and gave a rousing statement of his reasons for running. Mike Chalmers sat with Ace afterwards and got further details of how his political and social bearings determine his positions on issues. In a few words, those positions are driven by his faith in responsive, human centered government to better people's lives and build stronger communities.
